Regulation

All Italian lawyers at DLA Piper Italia S.T.A. are admitted within Italy to practice as lawyers (Avvocato). Model of organisation, management and control

DLA Piper Italia S.T.A., in compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree n. 231 dated 8 June 2001 laying down the "Regulations governing the administrative liability of legal entities, companies and associations including those lacking legal personality, pursuant to Article 11 of Law n. 300 dated 29 September 2000", has approved its own Model of Organisation, Management and Control ("Model") and appointed, simultaneously, the Supervisory Body in charge of overseeing the functioning of and compliance with the Model, as well as ensuring that the same is properly updated. DLA Piper Italia S.T.A. has also endowed itself with a Code of Conduct, which is an integral and essential part of the same Model, constituting a core value chart acknowledged to be ethically positive.

Professional liability insurance

Our professional indemnity insurer is QBE Lloyd's Syndicate 1886 & others, whose address is 30 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 3BD. This insurance covers our practices in the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East, Australia, Africa and Asia and extends to acts and omissions wherever they occur in the world.

In certain jurisdictions professional indemnity insurance is required to be placed locally in accordance with statute or regulation. Where there are such requirements we have policies in place to meet these obligations, details of which can be supplied on request.

Our services

If we are unable to resolve a problem through internal channels, our client may refer the matter to the relevant local bar council. If, after investigation, the complaint is found to be justified, the bar council may take disciplinary action.
